Now, four area counties Have Dengue
Recent news of Dengue Fever reported by WTSP Tampa News 10 has now revealed third and fourth Tampa Bay area counties added to the list of locally acquired cases.
The first new report provided by the Citrus County Department of Health (DOH) through a Saturday press release, indicated that one locally acquired case was confirmed in the county. WTSP Tampa News 10 also reported yesterday (August 26) that Pasco County has been added to having a confirmed case.
A specific type of female mosquito is the carrier of Dengue Fever. Of all the cases confirmed, the Tampa area has a concentration of locally acquired cases all during the month of August.
