Unleashing the Super-Techs and Special Forces: A Recap of Superpowered Solutions Trade Show
Last Tuesday, the Bay Area Apartment Association (BAAA) Trade Show transformed into a hub of “Super Powered Solutions,” and if you wandered by booth 221 of WellTech Pest Solutions, you likely felt the Super-powered energy coming from all of our multi-family fun! As the event’s theme celebrated “Super Powered Solutions,” we knew we had to bring our own A-game, or perhaps our S-game for “Super”.
Darkness, Glow-in-the-Dark Rodents, and the Quest for the Grill
If you were one of the brave souls who ventured into our dark room, you know the drill. Armed with nothing but special glasses and a grabber tool, event-goers stepped into the shadows to hunt for glowing insects and glowing rodents. If you’re worried about continuing to read… they weren’t real!!!
It was a test of skill, nerves, and eye-hand coordination. Watching grown professionals frantically using grabbers to rescue a plastic spider from the dark was easily the comedy highlight of the day. The announcement for the winner will be in October at the Florida Apartment Association Trade Show.
Swag That Actually Survives the Drive Home
We know that trade shows are often a parade of pens that don’t write and brochures that go straight to the circular file. We wanted to do things differently. We treated our visitors to the finer things in life, starting with our premium free cigars… this little indulgence has proven to be a staple to every event goer over the past ten years.
For the practical-minded, we handed out our signature color-changing cups. Just add a cold drink, and watch the cup change colors behind the WellTech logo. And for those who prefer to keep the pests away in real life, we offered vials of custom WellTech bug repellent. We even had coloring sheets available, because let’s face it: whether you’re five or fifty, sometimes you just need a moment to color inside the lines.
THE Roach Costume
Our wildlife and special services team were not only running the game, but between Nelson and Danny, you may have noticed a bit of comedy relief in between sessions. Danny had dressed into a blow-up roach costume, and Nelson would . They always take their job seriously, but it was nice to see they had a chance to have fun.
The Viral Energy of the 360 Booth
Without a doubt, the undisputed champion of the booth was the 360-degree video station. We invited property managers, leasing agents, and maintenance crews to step onto the platform, crank up the music, and show off their best dance moves.
The resulting footage was pure gold. If you haven’t checked your social media feeds, you’re missing out on some truly inspired choreography. It was the perfect way to capture the “Super Powered” spirit of the event, and we loved seeing you share those moments with friends and coworkers. Seeing the BAAA community let loose and have a blast reminded us exactly why we love this industry: it’s all about the people.
